Zenith El Primero "Lightweight" Tribute to the Rolling Stones
For Only Watch 2015, Zenith generously donated a unique El Primero Striking 10th Chronograph watch - the "Lightweight" Tribute to the Rolling Stones. The legendary Rolling Stones band has been a partner with Zenith since 2014.
A titanium black DLC case measuring 45 mm in diameter houses the famous El Primero 4052W automatic movement - visible through its skeletonized dial. On the caseback, the oscillating weight is adorned with the British band’s famous red tongue logo.
The stenciled date numerals can be found rotating around the circumference of the dial, with the aperture appearing at 6 o’clock, coloring the current date numerals to red. The hours and minute hands are shaped to resemble the fretboard of the Fender Telecaster guitar, made famous by the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards. The red center sweep-seconds features a tiny star shaped cut out at the end.
It’s fitted with a unique rubber strap featuring a Barenia calfskin insert embossed with the band's logo and Union Jack. The watch comes in a presentation box bearing the Rolling Stones logo in conjunction with that of Zenith. This watch will be up for sale at the Only Watch charity auction, taking place in Geneva on 7 November 2015, to assist in furthering research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
