Phillips Achieves Perfect 'Heuer Parade' Sale - All 42 Lots Sold
All forty two chronographs presented in The Corsthwaite & Gavin Collection were sold last night, a result which confirms the strength of vintage Heuer wristwatches at the moment.

It will surprise no one to learn the top three watches were all Autavias. The top two lots were the three register and two register Autavia ‘Big Subs’, followed by the 1st execution Autavia GMT below.

One of the surprises of the sale was the performance of the Carreras included in the sale, in particular, the Carrera '2nd execution dial' with tropical subdials, the Carrera 'Yachting' and the Carrera made for the Angolan armed forces.
The very last lot of the sale, Number 1 of 1932 of the limited edition Autavia created for Jack Heuer's birthday and sold to support the Save The Children foundation sold for CHF 37,500 (no buyer's premium on charity pieces).
The TAG Heuer Autavia made for Jack Heuer's 85th Birthday.
In total, the collection sold for more than CHF 1.4 Million.
